Perks for Civil Servants in Celebration of the Civil Service Month

The Philippine civil service celebrates its 116^th anniversary this September, coinciding with the Civil Service Month. This year’s theme is “Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit para sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani, at Kalikasan”.

As the lead agency of the month-long celebration, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) promises treats and discounts for government employees nationwide.

The SM Store and SM Appliance Center offer 10% and 5% discounts respectively on regular-priced items for a minimum purchase of two-thousand pesos (P2,000). Promo period is from September 23 to 25, 2016 (Friday to Sunday) in all SM Stores and SM Appliance Centers nationwide.

Star City offers its Ride-All-You-Can ticket for only P280 each (from its original price of P450) for government employees and three (3) of their family members. Promo period is September 2 to 4, 9 to 11, and 16 to 30, 2016.

Manila Ocean Park also offers discounted rates on its attraction packages: Corporate Signature package (P400) includes Oceanarium, Symphony Evening Show, Sharks and Rays Dry Encounter, Sea Lion Show, Jellies Exhibit, Trails to Antartica or World of Creepy Crawlies; Sea Breeze Express package (P600) adds Birds of Prey Kingdom, All-star Bird Show, Penguin Talk Show, Fish Spa, and Back of the House; Encounters also have discounted rates for Sharks and Rays Full Body Encounter (P499), Mermaid Experience (P299), Sea Lion Trainer (P699), and Aquanaut  (P490). While selling period is only up to September 30, 2016, ticket validity is until December 15, 2016.

Public servants may avail of 20% discount on selected products and services in all branches of INKRITE Ink Refilling Station until September 30, 2016. A 20% discount is also available on selected products and services of Great Image until December 15, 2016.

Chopstop, Sisig Society, and Adobo Connection offer free iced tea for dine-in civil servants.
