Lunch at Le Don's Garden in Silang, Cavite

My good friend, Tere, introduced us (family and friends) to Ledon Cafe in Silang, Cavite.

A greenhouse fronts the restaurant (where one can have pichur-pichur). Vegetables abound. I think this is where they get the edible flowers for their "magic" tea and their veggie supplies.

While waiting for our orders, we were served "magic" tea. Wy magic? Because it changes from blue to purple after you've squeezed some calamansi juice on it. I think the acid changes the color of the tea (remember chemistry in high school? litmus test?). What's nice is it's free and yummy and has edible flowers!

As served: it's blue
It's starting to change! Abracadabrasisbumba
Now it's purple! Tadaaaahhh!!!

They serve yummy dishes but the best dish for me was the Carbonara pasta. They use fresh pasta (it's green, so I think it's mixed with spinach). And it only costs P160!

Carbonara with lots of parmesan and bacon bits

I also love the salad with blueberry and cream cheese!!!

The little boy ordered gyudon - which tastes gooooood too!

I think this is bolognese pasta.

This is the butter garlic  chicken thingy.

This is seafood tempura: with shrimps, veggies, fish. (Konti lang ang shrimp :(, sayang)

Hubby wanted to try their chicken binakol, but he was told that it was unavailable (it's native chicken in some guava broth, I think) due to some missing ingredients. In their menu, chicken binakol is by reservation. But the staff clarified that even if the customer did not reserve beforehand, if the ingredients are available, it will still be cooked.

They've got a set menu for a group, which we tried, kaya busog!

Going here is super relaxing and satisfying.  They've got fresh veggies too, sourced from their garden. And their staff are really nice and friendly.

What's the best part? Our meal was shared with my family and my great friends.

Good Food + Good Friends = Great time
A small cozy place with real paintings made by the owner.

Le Don's is in Asuncion Subdivision, Purok 3, Aguinaldo Hi-way, Biga 1, Silang.   It's on the right, going to Tagaytay. About 100 meters before reaching the Bypass - a fork where the left road would take you to the Bayan of Silang, and the right is straight to Tagaytay. If you see Petron Gasoline Station from afar, slow down - may kalsada sa kanan, pasok na. Hehehehe
